1. Start using your time more productively
When you waste time, you waste opportunities to improve your life forever. Time is a non-renewable resource and each moment will only be available for usage once. Throughout history, those who’ve led extraordinary lives have managed to do so primarily because of their efficient usage of time. We each receive the same number of hours in a day as everyone else, yet what sets us apart is the amount of time we use and the amount of time we waste. Complaining about life is not going to help;using your time effectively will make all the difference.
Reminder: Don’t worry about things you can’t control
If you add it up, the average person wastes literally hundreds of hours on a monthly basis. Multiply this by a year, then multiply it by a lifetime. Can you afford to waste a few hours each day when in the last moments of your life each second will be invaluable?
2. Start taking care of your body
Most of us only pay attention to our bodies when something goes wrong. Take a little time to assess your diet and ensure that you’re constantly maintaining your fitness levels. Bear in mind that you have just one chance to use your body. Pay attention to what you put in your body and what you get out will begin to change drastically. A point worth keeping in mind is that when the body is harmed by illness, very rarely does it recover fully. Guard your health today and it will guard you tomorrow.
Money, a car, a home are all useless without the health to enjoy them.
3. Start learning more
Generally, we stop learning when we leave school or graduate from college. We then learn only when we’re forced to or our careers demand it. Change this mindset if you wish to lead an extraordinary life.
A mind that is not learning constantly, begins to stagnate. Ideas occur less frequently to a mind that is not well-stimulated. Creativity begins to decline and eventually we end up leading lives so foreign to us that we have no idea how we ended up there. Learning broadens the horizons of your mind and changes your perspective of the world and your circumstances.
Read widely, schedule regular meetings with people you find inspiring and embrace new methods to explore and enhance your creativity.
You owe it to yourself to lead a life you can ultimately be proud of
