Here’s an idea: For the next few days, replace the word ‘time’ with ‘life’
- Instead of saying, “This is a waste of my time” rather say, “This is a waste of my life”
- When you ask yourself if something is worth your time, rather ask, “Is this worth my life?”
- Instead of saying, “I’m just killing time”, say “I’m just killing life”
Because time is life.
When we use a word as innocuous as ‘time’ to describe the privilege of being alive, we tend to start believing that there may be a way to live life in a manner other than meaningfully.
