Regardless of the nature or the scale of your problems, only you truly understand what you’re going through right now.
A lot of people believe that their spouse, best friend, sibling or parent is *supposed* to understand the challenges they’re facing but life doesn’t always work that way.
The people who love and care for you can only try to understand your struggles and help you in the best way they can. Sometimes, they won’t know what to do or say & even them trying their best won’t necessarily be the kind of help you need. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
There’s nothing wrong if the people you love don’t know what to do to help you and there’s nothing wrong if you don’t know how to help someone you love. It’s okay; it’s part of the progression of life. Nobody has all the answers and nobody knows which solution will work. The best we can do is try.
There’s a 99% chance that somebody else has already faced (and overcome) the exact same (or similar) set of challenges that you’re working through. All you’ve got to do is find out what worked for them and test to see what will work for you.
Test, assess and then rinse & repeat as many times as it takes to get you closer to the progress you’re looking for. There’s always a solution and there’s always hope.
You don’t need to have it all worked out; the first step is to decide to get the help you need.
